Because Soccer Does Matter
Player journey
You want to play. Let's make it happen.
A pickup game sounds simple. Getting everyone onto the pitch takes a little planning.
When and where?
Your coach sets the match time and field.
But then come all the other questions…
Before kickoff
Who can play? What if too few or too many say Yes? Who plays on which team, and how do we keep the teams fair?
During the game
How do we keep score and make sure the rules are followed?
After full time
How will everyone know what happened, who played well, and when they can sign up for the next match?
Whew! That’s a lot to sort out for a simple pickup game.
SoccerMatters handles it with your coach and teammates. Follow William “Dixie” Dean through the player journey to see how.
Where do we start? At the beginning.
